I received this Awesome  "Spider" ATC from FicklePegasus. She crocheted (!!) the web, and the spider is 3 dimensional! Just in time for Halloween. Oh yeah, it's called "Itsy Bitsy Spider" (when I told my husband that he said, "Itsy bitsy? If I saw a spider that big coming at me I'd run!!). Thank you so much, FicklePegasus!

I gotta say, I'm with your husband on this one.  The card, however, is quite cute!

I'm glad to see that a couple more of mine have reached their destinations safely.  I've got another one to mail soon!  Grin

FYI, Singalala:  The keyholes and key outlines are black felt-tip pen, but the keys themselves are actually colored pencil.  I just overlapped the colors and used a lot of pressure to get rich, blended tones.

The Illuminated M card is fantastic. Did I miss somewhere who made the card?

Weird things about where you live sure is an interesting theme!! I bet you know all sorts of little known facts now! ha ha

You got your Halloweenn themed card just in time! What is the silver on the edge?

I 'stole' the weird facts theme from someone else (in the ABC swap I rec'd 'Frozen Dead Guy' for F.  Their is a festival somewhere in Colorado every year about it.)  This is the first card I've gotten in this theme, will definately be keeping it on my list Grin

I think the silver is a textured cardstock sewn onto the rest of the card.  Very pretty and the beads are a really nice accent.

LOL I'm actually with your hubby on that too.  I chose the title for the irony Wink

Oh, I had a fabulous mail day today!  I received 2 ATCs and theyre wonderful!

This is a Sherlock Holmes Card from SonjaBoo.  I love the touches of red in it!  The game is afoot!

The 2nd card I got was from corduroy cat and a great Alice in Wonderland.  Corduroy cat, you card fascinated me.  Being new to ATCs, your card looked see through but was quite solid.  It also had a waxy layer on it.  I have no idea how you did it but I love it.

(Sorry for bad photos of the cards.  They dont do either card justice).

Thank you both!

wow that was fast!
it's melted crayon wax with pieces of napkin and beeswax. the oils in the wax make the card transparant when it melts Smiley

Here is "Hmmm...?" -- the adorable alpaca-themed ATC I received from TerraBella01:

The hair is 3D...and pettable! Grin  I think his mellow expression and shaggy "do" make him look like a flower child!  Thanks, TerraBella01, for the camelid cuteness!
