schnerby, I wasn't aware of the rule but I feel an explanation of your art is appropriate. (we just wont go back and forth about it, right ladies?) I have ben ill informed of the situation and this has inspired me to seek out more information on my own. Thank you.

Wow very eye opening schnerby, I'm not very informed when it comes to anything political/governmental even about my own country. In school I was never taught the basics of political structure so I'm always soo confused when it comes to thinsgs like that. But I was talking to one of my friends and she directed me toward some great news sites that I now frequent often to get a better understanding of the world.

Everyday political ranting isn't my thing, but there are a few issues that really get my goat. This is one of them.

("that really gets my goat" - good ATC theme?)

Thanks for the well worded explanation--the fact that you had to block your IP address is just unfathomable to me...we take so many things for granted in the US...imagining having to watch our opinions, make choices with our religion, etc.

Anyway, I was confused about the second card so the explanation was called for...

Plus, the first card is so beautiful, even without the political message...the merging of two minority figures is so symbolic...lovely jobs on the ATC's...

I've received from Singalala!

First, she sent a 2nd maze card, as she wasn't happy with the first one she'd made.  Sadly, the two words came off of the card, and I don't know where they were glued.  Maybe like this:

Or maybe like this:

I have to say, I think that card is the prettiest possibly way of saying, "Get lost."

She also sent "Small Keys" (for my skeleton keys theme):

Neat, huh?  The pattern on the background is raised.  It's textured paper, like these similar pieces she enclosed:

They're very cool -- I think they might be wallpaper samples?

Thanks, Singalala, for a lovely surprise!  I hope you find your way back to us soon!

Here is the "Linda" card I made for Linda P. It's somewhere over the ocean, or possibly Hawaii, partying with the card Linda P sent me.  Sad

It's supposed to look someting a movie star might have, and you can't really see the coloured pencil here.
My new idea isn't really along these lines, so don't expect a clone card!

I'm working on a new one which will go out Friday when I send a swap package I have put together.

oh, that card is partying, alright... Cheesy oh, wait, that is with three "X's" !! ha ha

maybe it will get there as it looks like singalala's cards are appearing!!  what a treat!

both of the mazes she did were beautiful! and the embossed paper is very interesting as well--I wonder if it is wallpaper?  the keys are beautiful (the color is what appeals to me the most!!)...

I got 2 envelopes today  Shocked Shocked
How exciting!

First one to be opened was a card from Linda P we thought was lost. It's an altered fairy tale.

Here we have Alice in Wonderland. Well, not Alice, but Larry from Pearls Before the Swine (I don't know the comic, will research) dressed as Alice. His little bottle is made from metal tape and says 'drink me'.

I think this card is just great. Slightly silly, slightly absurd - both things I love.
Thanks!

Next I opened an envelope from Alwaysinmyroom. She has GORGEOUS stationery. I'm a little green with envy...
The first card, also wonderfully silly, are Cheerios with personality. Somehow I managed to take the world's worst photo of this card, so I will reshoot tomorrow. Eat the little creatures!!!

She also sent an extra card, bento themed. It's lovely, and the toothpick chopsticks are a great touch.

Look inside my lunchbox!
(That sounds a little more kinky than I had intended...)

Thank you both!
