Linda P--your card must be from corduroy cat!!  I love her wax technique so much! It is such a happy card--even if it has snow in it! (ick!)  Cheesy

Thanks--yes, gargoyles can be adorable--I really wanted this little guy to have a home, and I am so glad Wiccadwitch has given him one!  Kiss

I can see why you are addicted Linda P!!

I am strangely drawn to the gingerbread card...seems like a dream I once had! Love the woman with the fork--a bit ominous...

The nesting doll is so clever!! What is the overlay and how did you get the paint or whatever to stick to the whatever? huh?--you know what I mean! HOWWWW!!  It is clever!

The nesting dolls are painting with acrylic paint on pieces of acetate...I think it's acetate, some art supplies that my mom passed on to me. You can do the same with transparency sheets. Here is a tutorial but unfortunately you can only see it if you have a deviant art account http://atcfanatics.deviantart.com/art/Transparency-ATC-Tutorial-132698216 Also, their bellies are cut out sections of a colorful cardboard box that fruity popsicles came in. Oh yeah, the paint wasn't a problem getting to stick to the card but the permanent marker that I did the details was a bit tricky.

I love the gingerbread card. It's a great visual of the story. The Gargoyle is very clever. I really like the other nesting doll card. Smiley And that snow card is so cool. I think I like the wax effect on this card the best.

"Dying Beauty" from alwaysinmyroom!

The first layer is a sunprint of the japanese maple leaves, then the dried leaves are on top of that, and a plastic layer (of scrap materials! yesss!) is on top of that, with all 3 layers tied together. It is so gorgeous!

Plus she sent me great vintage postcards of a "themepark of yesteryear," which is one of my themes as well, and a handmade note with more pressed maple leaves! yeah! great stuff. thank you!

This crafter is out of service most of the rest of 2015 due to a wild schedule, swapping once in a while when I can't fight the feeling anymore ("I've forgotten what I started fighting fooooor...").
Personal swaps: I have lots of home-grown rosemary and white sage available, plus altered journals.
