I don't want realism, I want magic!

After getting sick of my bookshelf looking a mess due to the increasing number of different comic books I've been getting I decided to make a sort of magazine rack for them, that fit's them and that sits perfectly on my bookshelf.
I originally started making this out of an old magazine but it just didn't look right so I decided to use an old book instead. I'm obsessed with books and therefore I have lots of versions of some of the classics, so I found a relatively new one that I didn't mind cutting up and chopped away with a stanley knife (you'll see in the pics I've only cut away the middle because I'm planning to make some kind of trinket box with he leftovers of the book).
The woven book is only the covering (obviously it would hold anything alone), I made the box out of used cereal boxes, cut up and measured to fit my purpose.

The finished item with the book I used for the weaving

As you can see there's still plenty of pages left in the book (ready for me to craft some more)

The box on it own

The box with some comics/graphic novels in to show how well it fits

A close up of the weaving

Thanks for looking, and C&C welcome

Nice work!
