Lately I've been on a quilting kick, in particular for babies since so many of my friends and family members are having little ones.

I saw a tutorial for this quilt pattern on youtube and was liking the simplicity of it and this is what came out of 2 days + 1 sleepless night Smiley A 41in.x41in. baby/toddler quilt for another special little one that I know Smiley

Fabric is "Glimma" by Lotta Jansdotter

I chose a simple navy blue/white dot print for the large borders and a yellow-ish brown/white dot print for the binding to keep the focus on the squares and circles in the center. I backed it with a gray fleece (spray basted and skipped the batting) and just quilted by simple SITD and I am in LOVE with how lightweight it feels yet how warm and snuggly it is. I will definitely be using fleece for more of my backs.

Enjoy (and as always, Happy Crafting!)

Super cute! I love that fabric line! Did you piece the circles or are they applique?
