These are fantastic!  and thanks for the tute, which serves as a "how to make a pattern" as well as a "how to make slippers" tute.

Cheers!

Yay!  I made a pair and now I have slippers to wear while crafting! I made the bottom out of denim to make them a bit more durable.   Thanks for a fast and easy project!

These are wonderful and would make excellent gifts.  You could use thrift store sweaters or sweatshirts to make them as well!

You are so right!  My brain has been thinking of all the things I can cut up to make more---they are so lightweight, I forgot about them and went to bed with them on! ha ha

I need more!

Congrats on being a 2009 winner!!!!!!!

Woohoo I'm a craftster 2009 winner!!

I love all the slipper you people made and such lovely comments. I'm glad you all like the tutorial!
This really inspires me to make more tutorials in the future. Bet that if I bribed my victim with the goodies afterwards she won't mind co-starring in my tuts either Tongue

But thanks again for all the lovely comments and I really like seeing all of your slippers. It makes me want to make more slipper for myself and steal some of the ideas you all used for closings and adornments.

I love these! I will have to find time to make a pair. Has anyone tried to make them suitable for outdoor wear, for example, with a vinyl sole?

Saw these on the best of 2009 and HAD to make a pair - they're amazing!  I didn't have any canvas in my stash for the sole - wish I'd thought of using denim - so I just used the same cotton as the uppers.

I bought some gorgeous Japanese fabric at a craft fair this year - little cats on a dark blue background.  I had no idea what to do with it, and this project was perfect for the pattern.  Here's a link to my finished slippers - I can't post pictures yet as I'm a newbie.   Cheesy  http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=322602&ppuser=193792
