I'm still relatively new to sewing, so this was a bit of a feat for me. I needed a new knitting tote, and after having bought an adorable Urban Threads "Feeling Toasty" patch off etsy, I was inspired to make a tote bag in chocolate brown and delicate pink.

This was also an exercise in designing and pattern-free sewing. Funny enough, it wasn't the bag that was tricky...it was the straps! Between the different fabrics, and using interfacing for the first time, it took me three weekends in all to finish this project.

It held up remarkably well on a recent plane trip, where it found itself shoved under seats, rolled into a pillow, and crammed full of non-knitting goodies as I ran from station to station. I am very pleased with this little tote, and learned MANY lessons along the way (like, when to step away before you chuck the whole thing out the window!).

Mr. Toast is definitely a fan. Thanks for looking!
