 We live in Wisconsin where a girl can never have too many jackets, coats, etc.  I've made 5 already. 2 for the pumpkins friend and 3 for my pumpkin.Then I saw the awesome jacket that Zooey Daschanel wore in Yes Man and I knew that my daughter would have one too. I think that I'll try to make a matching one for myself. I used Vegbee's Fair weather Jacket pattern but ditched the front belt. I think that it turned out great. The best part is that it cost me less than 10 bucks to make. I got 2 yards of navy blue linen for the shell at $ 1.97 per yard and the flannel lining was $1.98 a yard and I got 2 yards as well. YEA!  If any one knows of a similar pattern, so I can make myself a matching one, thats also easy to use please let me know.

My version of the awesome jacket for a 2 year old


Its a little big but anything that I put a lot of time into better last a long time. This was also my first time using maxi piping. So, what do you think?

that is so cute!  I am about to tackle some coats and try my hand at fur.  dh is from Wisconin so I know what you mean, lol.  you only have summer for about 5 minutes!
