on the innocent website there are some patterns for little hats which are intended to go on top of the bottles and they are then sold in sainsburys, they dont take long to make (I just make them while I watch telly!) and 35p (i think) goes to help the aged Smiley

Ooh me and mum always do this. I didn't have chance this year but she made about 150 of them!

It's over for this year but they do it every year. We normally just knit hats when we feel like it and save them up till the campaign!

I made a bunch of these when i was learning to knit in the round on DPNS.
It's a nice easy pattern that doesn't take up very much time, great for learning new things.
- and of course you get to help others out. I love seeing the smoothies all kitted out in the store Smiley

What are these hats for? I'm a bit confused. Are they for any people/babies to wear?

No, they go on the top of the smoothie bottles and some of the money from selling the bottles with hats on them go to the elderly.

It's not over yet. You can still knit hats as long as you send them before october 15th. I really need to round mine up and send them off, I make them over the year and then collect them all to send off. I love going to check them out.
