I claim claire313 for "handmade by claire" tags.
This is my 1st claim, 0 sent, 0 in transit, 0 received.
I'm an ABD grad student in art history, 33, living in North Carolina. I knit, sew, and am new to embroidery. Ooh, fun! I'm going to claim pinkleo for
Charm Bracelet (I adore those that are themed...for example: seasons, holidays, novels)
That sounds like a fun one to make! Oh and I can make a Tree of Life pendant as well. Easy!
Claim 1 of 3 / 0 sent / 0 received
About Me
Greetings everyone! 32 year old woman who lives in Florida (USA) with my guy and two cats. My favorite colors are jewel tones (like amethyst purple, emerald green, ruby red, sapphire blue, turquoise, and amber) or earth tones (like greens/browns together). I like silver but not really gold. (Copper's ok too.) My favorite color combination is a deep teal blue and chocolate brown together. It makes me happy. I also love things that go along with my "PhoenixFire" theme like reds/oranges/yellows together. My favorite animals are cats, owls, penguins, bats and red foxes. I love to read, I enjoy photography and I love all things Disney!
ALLERGIES
I suffer from migraines so please NOTHING musk/amber/patchouli/dragon's blood or floral scented. Unless it smells like you can eat it, it will give me a migraine. I LOVE fruit and dessert scents greatly though. Also, please no bar soaps (skin is sensitive to glycerin) and nothing with artificial sweeteners like NutraSweet (aspartame) or Splenda (sucralose) as I'm allergic to both.
Crafts
Sewing
*big wish*
--
A tote
like this one
. I love and covet everything about it from the colors, fabric to the pattern.
*big wish*
--
A robe
like
this one
. I wear a US size 4 and can send measurements if needed.)
-- Something made from the
JOEL DEWBERRY'S AVIARY ALMOND FABRIC
. (Stuff like
this wristlet
or
these potholders
or
this craft apron
or
this card holder
etc. Pillows, aprons, anything! I am just in love with this fabric!
-- Some
placemats and/or table runner
of some sort. I really like
this
for style/colors but I'm flexible. We have our first ever dining room table and it's round so I really don't need a huge runner or a ton of placemats (even just two would be fine!) but it might be cool to have decoration for it. We're in the process of striping it and repainting it a dark, chocolate brown.
-- A
cell phone wristlet
like this. I love the colors and the shape/size of this one. (I have a
Samsung r450 Messager
for size reference. Though mine is metallic red.)
-- Some
Fabric buckets
like this or
like this
to store and tote around craft supplies.
Knitting
*big wish*
--
This scarf
in these type of earthy, natural colors
. (If it were in a mix of teal blue and chocolate brown that would work too.) I think this is one of the most perfect things ever. I don't really need scarves as a rule because I live in Florida, but I'd find reasons to wear one like this!
--
Hand knit socks.
Something warm and soft (no wool please because it itches me) I've got small feet so like a 6.5 size foot or girl's sized large socks for reference. (HUGE bonus if it's argyle pattern. I don't know why but I love argyle.)
Other
*big wish*
-- A cool
fitted tee
or
fitted tank top
! I wear a US size 4 or typically a size small or medium and I love greens, blues, purples, greys and browns for shirt colors. I pretty much
live
in baby doll/fitted tees. See
my shirt wists
for some inspiration.
(Thanks to everyone's who's made ones for me. I LOVE them all so much I want to add more to my collection. It's been great fun wearing my custom shirts!)
**I've recently added a few more ideas including some Phoenix stencil shirts.
--
Dessert-scented body spray.
I use and love the "Beach Baby Perfume" from
Coconut Hut
. I can't wear normal perfumes because I can only wear things that smell like you can eat it or I get a migraine. I love desserts and fruit scents. (Scent Wishlist
here
for help/ideas.) But NO floral and NO musk at all - not even a drop! - or it'll be unwearable for me.
-- Something
stained glass
- sun catcher, glass mosaic item, etc. I just love stained glass and wouldn't even know where to begin making it myself. I have a wall of sliding glass doors and a balcony to show things off.
-- Something
glass work
like a vase or something. Blown or torch or whatever. A cool medium I don't know how to work with at all.
This
is really pretty for example.
-- Something
ceramic/pottery
or vase or a bowl or a tea mug or whatever. Again, a skill I don't have but really love.
(A couple things I've wisted for inspiration.)
-- Anything with a
phoenix
on it. I LOVE the phoenix and there's not nearly enough phoenix-related things in the world or my life. You can check out my
wisted phoenix items here
as inspiration.
--
Fused glass or glass (microscope) slide pendants
you think I'd like.
(Here are some wisted inspiration items as examples.)
--
Surprise me!
Look at my
wists
or my
amazon wishlist
, or the colors I like and see what you can make that you think I'd like.
Craft Supplies
*big wish*
*new* --
Artistic Wire
brand silver plated colored copper wire in 24 gauge.
Just like this!
or
another link
Especially needing brown and non-tarnish silver. This is my new, all-time favorite wire and I can't find any locally. (I also use
16 gauge
as well but it's
slightly
easier to find than 24 gauge.) Some craft stores carry it but not mine locally. (
store locator
) I LOVE this stuff and really really need more.
--
Rubber stamp pads
and/or rubber stamp markers. I've gotten a pretty cool collection of stamps but I have no ink pads for them!
-- Starter
resin kit/supplies
(resin, molds, etc.)
--
Lampwork beads.
--
Beading supplies.
I create jewelry so I'm always looking for unique and interesting pendants, charms, gemstone beads, large focal beads and such. Also, I love Swarovski crystal, unique clasps or toggles.
Extras
-- Tea! Especially fruity ones.
-- Chocolate! (white, milk or dark) No coconut please.
-- Candies! (whatever neat little treats you enjoy, send 'em my way. I love candy)
-- Sewing magazines. (especially things geared towards newbies)
-- Beading magazines (esp ones with projects/tutorials)
Thanks in advance to whomever picks me!

I'm going to claim oneredboot for
simple lariat necklace made of natural beads, such as green or orange stones
Haven't made one in awhile. It'll be fun to do it again.
Claim #2 of 3 / 0 sent / 0 received
About Me
Greetings everyone!
*new* -- Some
throw pillow slip covers
. I'd love to change up my throw pillows more often. What might be fun is to have some slip covers I could put over the existing pillows to mix things up now and then. I have two standard size, square pillows (I can measure for exact if you want) on my couch. My living room features dark "espresso" brown entertainment center with chrome accents. So browns and blues would be cool, but also like autumny colors, or earth tones or maybe even some seasonal ones. I don't know. It just seems like it'd be fun to have an assortment to change it out now and then! I'm wisting some prints I like as examples
HERE
.
-- Some
placemats and/or table runner
of some sort.

I claim phoenixfiredesigns for some wisty goodness.
2nd claim, 0 sent 0 recvd
My name is Lissa and I live in Colorado USA. I am a stay at home mom to three of the world’s brightest futures who also love to get mail. There is a ton of info about them and myself in my profile. We try to be as gentle to the planet as we can be and I hope to have a small garden going next year. I enjoy all things crafty and creative and secretly (okay, not so secretly) wish that I was a Stepford Wife with my brain still intact. I love the 50’s and love staying home, cooking, baking, and cleaning on most days. I am also obsessed with turtles and the color pink. We do have smoke allergies in my house and they are rather severe so please don’t claim me for items that can absorb smoke if you do smoke. We really appreciate it. There is nothing worse than getting a really cool handmade gift in the mail and having to toss it out cause my son and husband can’t breathe around it.
Thank you to whoever claims me!!
Crafted:
*Really Big Wish: Poppet ~ we would prefer for there not to be “parts” in the pants hehe
*Poppet clothes, shoes, and accessories ~ we have 3 girls (without the breasts) and a boy and a lot of the easy peasy dresses. A backpack or wings would be super cool, or maybe some items for them to use like a table, chairs, or food stuff.
*Cloth Diapers in fun boyish prints ~ we really like pocket diapers that don’t need a cover. He is currently about 22 pounds, but One Sizes are great too. (we have about 30 plain color ones and would love some prints)
*Momma Pads – I need long ones
*Cute Boyish Knit Longies like in my wists size 18-24 months
*Key Fob with a fun print
*Felted Cloche for me ~ head size 22” (or something that looks like this)
http://wists.com/aa5e3163301fa79e1450e1270bb0558a?q=mommy&offset=40
*Cute Flapper hat :
http://wists.com/21c54065f21962606f4fce4e3c832865?q=hat&offset=0
*Denim hat like this one:
http://wists.com/9402b0d57129c8380be39decd8b05f9d?q=mommy&offset=20
*Steampunk pendent with all the cool watch parts, any motif is fine but I love the turtle one I have seen on Craftster (bees are okay but please no creepy bugs. Creepy bugs have lots of legs lol)
Thank you atsuko!!
*Jayne Cobb Hat for 1 year old (head size coming after nap time)
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3396/3314856297_d8a800692f.jpg
*Crochet or Knit Poop (would really love to have a Kawaii face with those ami eyes on it) it’s for hubby’s stocking
*This shirt or a shirt like it: Size Women Large or Medium (I need the longer length shirts)
http://wists.com/MommytheMaid/8f6a7254f604e149eabd4ccbf4a9ac50?offset=40
*Belly Dance Hip Scarf with beads and coins so I can be all jingly
*Bento Goodies (or laptop lunch goodies) boxes, sauce containers, separators, egg molds, anything to make cool bentos
*Super Big Ridiculous Wish: Dread falls ( I like skinny dreads vs. fat ones) or a kit to make my own would be super awesome too!
*Messenger bag with Monkey Print (not too babyish or girlish though, it’s for my 11 year old tomboy)
*Tapey!
http://wists.com/MommytheMaid/aa26a6989b4d7b33c7445c9cd42f062c?offset=180

*FOE in any color or print

I claim Mommy the Maid for a wisty surprise!
This is my 3rd claim, 0 sent, 0 in transit, 0 received.
I'm an ABD grad student in art history, 33, living in North Carolina. I knit, sew, and am new to embroidery. My aesthetic is very minimal--I try to surround myself with simple, beautiful, natural things. William Morris said it best: “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” I love natural colors and materials, especially organic and sustainable, and various shades of grey, blue, green, and brown (and lovely clear red). I'm also wearing a lot of orange this season--bright, clear oranges (more red than yellow)--and soft teals.
Here's my wishlist. I also have a huge list of

i claim oneredboot for a wisty surprise and maybe some supplies
2nd claim, 0 sent, 0 received
hi. i am nicole. i am currently using up the last year of my twenties. my boyfriend and i just bought our first house, which we are really excited about, and we are in the process of decorating it to suit us. we have a dog named gnarley, and a snail, walter.
like a lot of you craftsters, i also have crafting a.d.d.. i'll give anything a shot once. i really like bright/bold colors, and HATE pastels or anything too girly like butterflies and hearts (but i do like anatomical hearts). i love retro prints and styles, especially mod. i am very turned off by synthetic scents, but love natural ones and essential oils (EXCEPT patchouli or sandalwood). i love kitsch and have a very quirky and sometimes inappropriate sense of humor. check out my profile and wist for plenty of ideas!
the stuff in orange i would REALLY love
CRAFTED GOODS:
-anything dia de los muertos related
-
alpaca art.
i would love a little embroidered or collaged (or any other media youre good at) alpaca to hang on my wall. sounds like an odd request, but i work on an alpaca farm and i love those little buggers!
-
dish scrubbies made from recycled plastic bags
thanks claire313!
-a mustache key rack here's an example-
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31241634&ref=sr_list_4&&ga_search_query=mustache+key+hook&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=date_desc&includes[
]=tags&includes[]=title
-
a small organizer for coupons
(i know, how dorky, right?) i REALLY like this one
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22300844&ref=sr_gallery_16&&ga_search_query=coupon+organizer&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=19&includes[
]
-handmade pottery, mugs or small vases
-a high-waisted skirt, maybe like this one
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=256045.0
or this one
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=282269.0
-knit/crochet booties for me and/or my boyfriend, maybe similar to the ones on my wist
-i would love a purse like this-
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=23088955
-
re-usable swiffer pads
thanks again claire313!
-
a moon jar.
i love them, but i know i'll never get around to making one myself.
http://www.casasugar.com/1126839
-
an apron
, i really like this stye-
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_10&listing_id=20058442&ga_search_query=mod+apron&ga_search_type=tag_title
-handmade natural soaps with yummy, NON-flowery, NON-musky scents
-plain all beeswax candles. i LOVE the smell!
-odd/funny embroidered tea towels. i have one that has two shrimp and one of them has a thought bubble that says "shrimp". so weird, i love it!
-weatherproof decorations for my extremely kitschy/eclectic garden
-an ipod nano cozy, this one is cute
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=286372.msg3244360#msg3244360
-
a wallet/billfold
, mine was recently stolen. i like the kind that has a couple slots for cc's and a big bill pocket. for example, i love this one-
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26811851&ref=sr_list_19&&ga_search_query=amy+butler+wallet&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=3&order=date_desc&includes[
]=tags&includes[]=title
-something to put on the front of my ugly dishwasher, maybe a vinyl decal or something like it. i saw a venus flytrap one that was pretty cool.....
-anything off of or inspired by my wist- http://www.wists.com/skaborsk
craft supplies:
-
sublime stitching patterns
daniel johnston, the black apple, lucha libre, i luv veggies, dia de los muertes, spaced out

I'd like to claim skaborsk for a bunch of supplies.
This is my first claim, 0 sent, 0 received.
A little about me: I live in North Carolina with my husband, giant dog and two cats. By day, I'm the manager of a busy locally-owned business and by night, a person who is content to curl up at home with my knitting and a good movie (kung fu or Jane Austen, please). My favorite color is green but browns and mustard yellows are close seconds. I enjoy a good glass of wine at the end of the day, arugula and goat cheese salads and driving with my air conditioning on and all the windows open.
Crafts
new!
Lap Desk
new!
Half-length apron
Ironing Board Cover
new!
Jewelry Holder for the Wall - needs to have hooks
new!
Handmade soaps
Embroidered Handkerchiefs - particularly freeform designs and as this is likely to get tossed into a purse, any color is fine
Hand thrown coffee mugs – Absolutely adore these:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10760703
Embroidered kitchen towels
new!
Drawstring bags for knitting projects
Handmade Beeswax or Soy Candles. Any scent but strong florals.
Fabric placemats
PJs/Yoga Pants in natural fabrics. I’m a tiny lady.
Tree-themed pillowcases.
Hand-painted/decorated appetizer plates/bowls/glasses, etc
Small stained glass/suncatchers for my deck door.
simple, lightweight summer nightgown
handmade mailing address labels
Hand-dipped incense
Mustard colored knit hat--perhaps something along the lines of Felicity or Le Slouch
Eclectic/found object windchime.
Small hand-painted picture frames. I have some great trees by phizzychick and no way to display them.
Handwarmers for my husband - in black or brown
Handmade birdfeeders or birdhouses.
Hand-dyed/hand-painted yarn. Prefer worsted or fingering weights.
A set of four hand-thrown appetizer plates or shallow bowls (they can be small-ish) in greens or browns.
Handspun yarn.
Vintage pottery -- in browns, greens or whites.
Handmade, wooden shawl pin
Handwarmers/wristwarmers -- in off-white/creme or brown, maybe, but I'd prefer something tweedy?
Manly checkbook cover in darker colors--brown, black, navy blue. Maybe canvas? Something durable and simple.
Artisan cheese/bread board made out of wood -- anything like
this
or
=tags&includes[]=title]this
Black legwarmers -- I've got a pair in green, thanks to addicted2knitting, and I wear them all the time. Perhaps another pair in my collection would be nice.
Anything inspired by my wists!
