I made this for my mother's birthday which is coming up. I mean it to be a succulent rosette. I made it off the top of my head. Mum likes her beaded plants in opaque beads and she likes her succulents potted in shallow dishes with black or brown rocks. I would prefer it in silver-lined or transparent beads and potted with moss. Perhaps I shall make another soon to my own taste. C & C?

Oh yes, definitely make one for yourself. You deserve it. I'm sure your mother will have a very happy birthday getting something like that.

Your French Beaded Flowers are always worth the click to a thread!! I love this one too!

Opaques stand out more, but I can see your point about the Trans beads too! I hope to see it, if you make one for your self!

How cool! I'm sure your mom will love it.
It almost looks like one of those hen/chick plants.

I was going for something like that! There are a lot of plants that form the rosette sort of shape... This was the photo I looked at the most:

I'd really like to spend more time trying to get the shape more neat and life-like and try doing the inner petals better, but Mum's birthday is tomorrow, so I had to rush it to the post today.
