I recently spent three weeks in Canada last month, and I stayed at my sister's apartment. We were shopping at the Dixie Outlet Mall (I love that mall, it's full of outlet stores) and we came across a wall hanging she wanted to buy for the kids' room. I told her I could make her a similar one. So here it is...I'll be sending it to her soon. Smiley  (excuse the Lion King bedsheet. I'm a big fan of cartoon bed spreads.)

Fantastic, I might try to make something like this for my sister, she could have in her babys room

Or I coudl make one for myself...

instead of a million photo frames..

some quetions thought.

The "frames" what is the "glass" made if...is it vinyl??

and also, how did you get the back of the hanging to be not so flimsy, is it the fabric or have you used any sort of fabric sfittning things??

To answer your question...

The ones that already have photos in them are permanent--"laminated" them first with iron-on vinyl with about half an inch of excess on the sides, that's where I sewed on the "fabric frame". As for the ones where you can "insert photos" in, yep, that's clear vinyl. Smiley You can prolly use iron-on vinyl too, it would be easier to sew, although it's a bit costly on my part since I live in the Philippines and I have to order mine from amazon.com.

As for the fabric...The green is furnishing fabric. The pink is cotton twill, and I ironed on interfacing so it wouldn't be flimsy. Smiley After stitiching all the "frames" on the pink cloth, that's when I stitched it on the green Smiley

That's great. Where did you get those rings? Did they already have the little chain attached?
