Here are 2 new tops I made over the last few weeks. I've been using a lot of zippers lately because I bought a package of 100 mixed off zippers (for cheap!!) on ebay and don't want them to go to waste. But I have had a lot of fun using them in tops.

The first top, was my first attempt at shirring. I did rows of shirring down the whole back. The front opens with a zipper, I did ruching around the bust. I also added in darts under the bust. The top came out a little shorter than I wanted, probably because I was too lazy to measure and just started cutting. oh well...lol.

The second top is a lavender color, hard to tell in the picture. It is made out of knit material with ruching down the front. I actually made a mistake, but its hard to tell in the pictures. There was a floral pattern on the material that i didn't really like, so I put that on the inside. However, in certain lights you can see faint flowers when I wear it.

Thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!

Cute!  I like the style, and I really like the rouching on the second.  I made the same mistake with a similar top that came out too short, I just ended up wearing it with a high wasted skirt.

Hey thanks everyone for your awesome comments!!!

Omg I love the first one!  Shocked Do you remember where you got the fabric for it?

razzledazzelOConnel, the fabric is actually about 20 years old, my aunt previously worked at a upholstery and curtain place (I think that's what it was) and gave a bunch of samples to my mom. I love that fabric, but none of the samples were very big so I only have a little bit left.

Those are so cute! They look really cozy, too. You've made me want to take inventory on what zippers I have lying around now. XD
