Love the maps!

Were they glued down and then sealed in some way? Surely a coaster needs to be water-proof!

Assuming you just used modge podge to do these, I shall make an attempt.

Does Mod Podge make them waterproof?

Mod Podge will make them water resistant, at least.  Spills will bead, and you can wipe clean with a damp cloth, but you can't, like, put them through the dishwasher or soak them or anything.  I'd also use a spray sealant over it though.  I made some with scrapbook paper, with Mod Podge and spray acrylic sealant, but hot drinks tend to stick to them.  I'm gonna try to use the new-ish harder finish Mod Podge and a different clear spray to see how that goes.

I got really excited when I saw the MI city maps too! I'm a GR girl. I absolutely love these. I'm starting to collect ideas for coasters and this ranks at the top of my list.

Cool! I like these a lot! Another great, customizable gift idea!! Smiley

I don't know if this is obvious or not - but just a little tip..

Putting those tiny round furniture floor protectors on the bottoms of them to make sure they don't damage your tables would be a good idea! Smiley
