These cranes were folded on 1″x1 origami paper.I started these two crane jars right after I made 1,000 cranes. For those of you who did not go through an obsessive origami crane phase the idea is that the 1,000 cranes bring you good luck and a wish by carrying that wish to the heavens and so on. This jar was kind of going with that concept, with the cranes hung in an ascending swoop around the jar. The lid is painted blue and the bottom is filled with a mixture of paper, plastic, and ceramic green beads.
