Denim never goes out of style even when your Trapper Keeper does!
I cut up a pair of my husbands old jeans and hot glued them to my binder.
It took one leg to cover both sides.
The waistband made a great closure! I even kept the original button.
I used one of the back pockets to make a place to hold your pencils on the inside. Hot glue is working for now...but I think next time I will attempt to stitch it on, so I can be sure it will stick forever.
Kept the back tab, but had to cut the waistband in half to do so. But, the little tiny beltloop on the binder hides my seam.  Grin

The earth, stained with the blood of a thousand dying soldiers, weeps as she welcomes them home.
