I finally took the plunge into making an amigurumi. (<<--I'm a language person and it takes me forevAr to type out that word!)

He's going to be part of a Christmas present for my son who has recently become fascinated by outerspace. Smiley

The original pattern is at http://pepperberry.com/my_weblog/amigurumi-alien-pattern.html. I altered the antennae because a single one didn't look right to me.

very cute! You should also consider making a mobile with planets for him to hang in his room, that would be cool.

What a great idea ohiodiygirl! This is something I could drag Hubby in on too. He wouldn't be happy if I went overly artsy craftsy on the solar system. Smiley

MissKodak, the alien pattern is not difficult at all. I let the concept of creating a critter scare me, but once I got into it, it flew by and was a lot of fun. TBH, my only real problem was in remembering which row I was working. I would count and try to remember it but then that became a game for my precocious 3 yr old who loves to count out of sequence. I finally had to start righting down numbers so that she couldn't mess my head up. LOL!!
