taking off to my sisters place for 2 weeks.  She's on dial up, but I will check in at the very least twice, if not more often, depends on how things go there.  Just thought I'd remind the organizer and co-organiser, just incase I'm not as active as I hope to be!

I've been filling up my wist...

I'm excited! I find I'm adding a lot of bath/beauty stuff to mine. I wonder if anyone in the swap is a bath/body crafter...?  Wink

Cassiekate57...

I am! I have super sensitive skin and castile soap is so expensive so it's easier to make all my own stuff! If someone else gets you and they aren't used to crafting that stuff they can feel free to message me for some awesome & simple recipes. There's this one bath powder I make that smells like fresh oatmeal cookies Smiley

I'm back after a long hiatus. Not doing any big swaps right now but feel free to message me for small ones and supply exchanges. I have a bunch of fabric that I'd like to swap for different supplies!

Also, I have a pintrest now Smiley

craftybeachgirl:  I only got DSL last year.  And, I wouldn't have been able to do that except for I moved back into town.  And, even then, I had to wait until I got my tax return to afford all of the start up costs.  While the monthly cost isn't any different from dial-up, the initial start up was right at $100.  That's a lot of money to some people.

If you are really out in the country, sometimes high-speed isn't available.  At the house my ex-husband lives in (where I used to live), satellite internet is the only high speed non-dial-up option, and not everyone can afford that.  He told me recently that the people out there are excited because DSL or cable internet (can't remember which) is hopefully supposed to become available next year.  If it's cable, there'll be the high start up costs of getting cable to any houses that aren't on cable TV, yet.  Most people out there just go with satellite TV.

Some people who keep dial-up don't have a choice.

Anyone on dial-up probably doesn't have a choice.

We live out of the city area.  We tried everything to get cable, satellite, dsl, the whole works.  We ended up with an air card (think wireless or cell phone) as our only option to dial-up.
