Just made a tabistry masquerade mask out of colored can tabs from energy drinks.

**** UPDATE  ****

Just added some feathery stuff to the mask.

Hope it gives it a little something.  The colorful fluff is frayed poly rope I happened to have leftover from a whip I plaited with it.  (The rope came in 75ft bundles for $1.  I got the idea from the "cracker" at the end that was all fuzzy from cracking the whip.)  The spikey black/white stuff is plastic shopping bag.

**** END UPDATE ****

There are more pics and info on my blog.  Stop by here:

This is so cute!  And I checked your blog, I love all your pop tab stuff!  I've been saving up pop tabs for a couple months now, hoping to learn to make something.  Maybe a purse.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks chutzpaw.  I'm glad my stuff inspired you.  I really enjoy making things with the tabs!  I'm glad others are giving it a try.

bluwave06, they aren't too hard to make.  If you can manage a belt, the mask is very similar.  In the far off future, I may be offering these as well as some hair holders for sale in my Etsy store.  Possible patterns, too.

I've currently working with plastic bags to create some feathers and fluff to add to the mask.  I'll post some more pics when I get it just right.

As promised, just added a pic to this post of the mask with some extra decorative feathery stuff made with poly rope and plastic bag.

That is so cool!! And I would never guesses that the " feathers" were plastic bags..... Cheesy

I have been seriously ill. I will get back to everyone to finish up all swaps and stuff. I am home now.

Singalala, yep, it is a shopping bag.  I had to use one of the thicker ones you get from department stores.  Grocery bags are too thin and won't get as stiff when pulled.

Shocked  Oh, the horror!!!  You throw colored tabs away?!  **sobs in hands**  They're so hard to come by.  I used up most of my stash making this mask.

Thanks, xoxheatherra.  It's great fun putting trash to good use.  Cheesy

That's so awesome  Smiley ! The way the colors blend is really neat- it must've taken a while to find the right ones.
