Alright guys, I don't really know where to put this topic, but since you're all interested in fiber animals...

Martha's Vineyard Fiber Farm is hosting a giveaway for a small flock of angora goats. To enter, you had to write an essay explaining why YOU should get these goats. The signups are over, but now they need people to vote for the winning essay!

I'm pretty excited about this because I wanted to signup, but I knew as a college student I am in no shape to start a fiber farm yet haha. and because the MV fiber farm is pretty darn local (about an hour away).

I guess a friend of the spinners in my guild is hoping to win. but I think it's wrong of me to give you all their name and tell you to vote for them. So if everyone could just go read a few essays (I say a few... cause theres a lot of 'em) and pick who you think should win, that would be swell.

Thanks guys!

I think you should share your friends name, so we can at least for sure read thier essay.    But that's pretty neat to give away some goats....

I think that Martha's Vineyard fiber farm is taking care of all of it. I feel like I read that but I could be wrong. I've been reading about this too and was anxious to see who'd win. Someone's life could totally change and I think it's really neat.

This is their essay. Voting ends tonight!

I'm pretty sure SML is right and the farm is taking care of it. They're also including a shed type thing if I remember correctly?

Some one's life may be changed, but it won't be mine!! Don't want no fiber animals here.  I'd be too inclined not to send them to the processor, so why chance it?
