I saw a bunch of people making noro clapotiseseses and getting this beautifully soft striping by making them thinner than the normal width, so I figured I had to make one Cheesy

It's an early birthday present for my mom, who's modeling it here - she looks reluctant enough but she's very happy about the scarf and was happy to model it too, she just gets these face expressions when there's a camera aimed at her Cheesy

Worn as a shawl, where you can really see the striping

And worn as a scarf

Made in Noro Silk Garden Lite, colorway 2017

For those of you who don't know it, here's the free pattern from Knitty
http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTclapotis.html

FYI, I haven't touched the colors of the photos, and they're not really oversaturated, just a bit bright - the sunlight here at the weekend house makes all colors insane. The grass really is that green here Cheesy

Lucky mum!
That's beautiful, I just LOVE colour.  Everyone should wear more of it.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

I love it! I looks a little like mine, but I made it in 2015 colorway.

Thanks all!

Yeah, 2015 is very similar isn't it Smiley 2017 was the only one with even a touch of red that they had at the store when I bought the yarn though Shocked
