That's so clever.  Who would have thought of doing that?

Thanks - I directly "stole" the idea from the episode of "Project Runway" where the contestants had to make dresses out of the LA Times....I wanted to try it out. Luckily, in San Francisco there are tons of free newspapers for every group and I pick up the free ones when I see them. I love Korean, Japanese and Chinese characters and I like to use them in my crafts.

Is anyone else as old as me? Remember paper dresses from the 60's? I think I had one that I could color with crayons? It is not a new idea.

PLEASE ask me for some fabric - I have way too much. It's yours, free, for the cost of postage.
Truly, I have soooooo much.

I'm sure I am.  Paper dresses were after my time, not before.  I vaguely remember them making disposable dresses.

im a babe of the 1950s so i surely know paper dresses!
i have that episode of runway recorded and waiting til i get home from this business trip in dallas.
still, i never would have thought of using it for a dotee. after it was dry, you cut the fabric and paper out to shape? GREAT idea!

I finally finished my last dotee.  They will have their foto shoot this weekend and then they will be ready for shipping to their respective homes.  I can't wait to send them out.  I also can't wait for mine to arrive.

Yay! My first dotee has arrived - and mine are not even finished yet ...*shame* Roll Eyes

But here is the fab tree dotee sent by teag :-

Isn't she gorgeous?  I love the polyclay face and all the little leaves, also the beautiful shaping - it's so neat and perfect! Cheesy  Also she is very sparkly, which doesn't show up in the pic, the fabric is really pretty.

Thanks very much teag - you are a champion Dotee maker!
