Hello Everyone!

I am looking to make a particular outfit from the movie "The Duchess", however, I cannot seem to find a full length photo.

Please help!

This is the outfit I am talking about:

http://boxwish.com/feature_page/image/400/large/feature_00349_the_eighteenth_century_look_from_the_duchess_3.jpg
I have a ton of Black Corduroy (I know hers is navy but I am on a tight budget and would like to use what I have)

Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!!

I love that movie! The costuming in it is fabulous. Anyway, here's a link to one of the most amazing costuming sites of all time. It has a ton of photos of the dress, and lots of detail shots of the skirt.

Do you think she is wearing panniers under her skirt or just a bumroll? Or both?

Also, what do you think the undergarmets are on this? under petticoat AND over petticoat or just one? Chemise? of course I'm sure there is a stay under the "vest".

I'd say a bum roll - check out the second picture on this page, it looks like something that would fit underneath that costume.

there would have always been a chemise as the very first layer historically (less sweat etc. on clothes), but I can't say if they put one under the movie costume.
