Thanks everyone again Smiley  I used artist inks to paint it Smiley, my next goal for it is to make a lampshade that suits it's overall appearance Smiley

That is so sick! I love it!

Crayola and a toothpick?  You ROCK!

Love the balance of colors, shapes and sizes.  This is really good!

No more blog + no more facebook = more time for crafting!

I'm also JenGoPop at Ravelry.

I LOVE this guy! I like octopuses I like underwatery stuff... I love the colors! I can't get the link to your blog to work (I'm kinda late finding this thread!) but I love this. I could be friends with him.

I take it the shiny black thing that looks like an eye is actually a lightbulb, yes? I'd like to see this "in action," although pictures of lights are, um, Hard. :}  I can't get my head around this being a lamp, I guess. I'm so distracted by the awesome of the sculpting. I know nothing of the material, but when the sculpture is this good, frankly, who CARES how it was made??  Grin  I know no matter what I used, unless I used some coral, some rocks, and an actual octopus, I would never be able to do this. And even then I wouldn't get the colors right!

I vote against a lampshade unless you need to shield tiny minds from the onslaught of awesome, but even then I'd push for just letting them explode. This guy should not be hidden. And if your house doesn't go with him, then it's time to redo your house.

He's just SO GOOD!  I need to go stare at him some more. And wist him. And generally covet.
