When I was a kid my uncle gave me a set of these blocks with illustrated images of rural Germany. I always thought they were the coolest puzzle and kept them in good condition. While browsing craft books at a local thrift shop I came across a craft book from the 70's with instructions on how to make a set and had to try it out.

It wasn't difficult, plus it gave me a reason to recycle a few pages from a magazine. (I am all about reusing and recycling). With six different images I was able to vary the difficulty so it is really a good puzzle for any age.

I'm working on one of these right now!
My dad and I cut 25 blocks and I'm using an old Where's Waldo book, for added diffuculty.  I'm evil.

YEY!  What a great idea! Just 2 days ago I was wondering what I was going to craft for the younger kiddos in my life for the holidays.  Now I know.  Thanks you SO MUCH for sharing!

Oh my gosh.  This is awesome.  I've been looking for instructions to make these.  Can you give the name of the book, or at least point me in the right direction so I can get the instructions?

Thank you for posting this.  I've been saving my pictures for it.

Shoot! I guess it could be harder than just gluing a photo on them, eh?  I also humbly request guidance towards directions.
