I got some great fabric in the mail today from a friend.. And whipped up one of these aesome bags!! And trust me they are easy and simple.. i've never sewed a  bag before and i think mine came out pretty darn good.. Depite the funny looking strap  Undecided

Here goes..

i knew from the start the fabric was a tad bit flimsy for this.. but it work pretty good.. just wishing i would have sewed on the velcro.. i was going to but decided against it.. if anyone has good ideas on how to close this bag in a cute way..let me know.. i can't sew velcro on because it will show on the outside  Cry oops.

Anyways Thanks Jordy you rock!!

love it!  i totally dig on snaps!!  you could also give eyelets a whirl & use some fancy smancy ribbon w/ 'em!  w/ the fabric--i'd go w/ eyelets & ribbon!!

btw, i love your silkscreen 2ndhandsmoke!!

thanks guys! i appreciate the compliments, and i hate to disappoint, but it's not silkscreen - it's embroidery.

love the idea of eyelets and ribbon by the way -

even just ribbon by itself - you could make a bow with a tail on each side and stitch that to the outside and then use the tails to tie it - does that make sense?

or what about a button? one big round button might  look cool. it's not too late to do the button hole since it would have to go thru both sides, and then if you were careful you could sew the button on without going thru both layers of fabric.

really.  that is really awesome!!  i might have to try my hand at embroidery if it can look that good!!

btw, shs, you made me remember that i've sewn on velcro after the fact, too.  i did it by hand.  it's hard to get the needle through the velcro, but you can do it.  i'm liking the big button idea, tho.  a big red button is what you need!!!!!!
