MacGyver swap - required tools & materials

Would anybody be interested in this or do you have any feedback on point size, additional tools/materials, crafting time?

This is a swap for everyone who adored MacGyver.  But as in MacGyver’s world, nothing is easy.  For this swap you have to make 4 points worth of good looking, useful goodies for your partner using only the items and tools on this list of things that MacGyver himself used.  Please no smoke bombs or lasers, unless you’ve cleared it with your partner and you hand deliver the package!  I looked through a list of all the episodes to compile the craft materials and tools, but if you recall something used in an episode that you need to make your project then you can PM me and I will add it to the list.  These are just the basic items that I figure most people will have around their house, and that could actually produce some nice crafts.  Please put effort into making a quality craft for your partner – don’t just superglue a cotton ball to a mirror and call it a decorated mirror.  And make sure to tell us exactly how you made it.  I will allow one “fudge” per person, but it can only be a craft material or tool – not both.  So if you need to use your sewing machine, you have to sew something on the craft materials list, or if you insist on buying new fabric you have to assemble it into something using something on the craft tools list.

I think this would be better as a crafters challenge, rather than a swap.  I can see a lot of things coming out of this list, all of them being awesome.  Not necessarily anything that anybody would want to receive in a swap.

Maybe you could run this by Leah or Sweets4ever and see what they think about it.

I have to agree with pinokeeo, this would be a great challenge. I have all my straws for the current challenge and no ideas. This has a lot more options.

Would make a great challenge to say something like... Open your junk drawer, now make something!

I liked how 98% of the list I know I have in or around the outside of my house and I wouldn't need to make the drive to the craft store. Materials and gas add up pretty quickly so the ease of this idea is great. My only problem would be coming up with something cool and crafty from the list but then again, that's part of the fun
