Hey guys!

I used to post a bit under another name but I was never any good, so it's probably for the best that I've forgotten what that name was! It's always nice to start afresh.

I'm currently studying design, I'm still in first year though so my work's not that flash yet, and we haven't had the chance to make much yet.

ANYWAY, enough chit chat, here are some shorts I've made for a three-piece outfit I'm working on. I made the pattern for them from scratch.

The pockets go all the way to the back!

They look a bit wonky on the dolly, but I swear they look better on a real person!

The facing on the yoke, and the top pocket bags are made of this sweet material

And one more pic, because why not?

The three piece outfit is circus themed, so I was trying to imitate the big hips of the ringmaster, without getting costumey. I start making the top and jacket soon so I will share them next!

Cheers,

Alexia

OOh I'd love to see the whole circus outfit! Do they zip up the back?

Yep, there's an invisible zip in there.

They are simply gorgeous! I would love a pair of those. Such a clever design.
I definitely see the circus bit in there.
Were they hard to make?

Thank you Smiley

They weren't too hard, the pattern was the hardest part, but as far as sewing went they were a piece of cake!

I like the shape of them. I don't want any extra hip bulk  Wink but they sit really well.

You're a first year? You'll go far! And, nice lining fabric. nice lining fabric makes a world of difference.

Hahaha I figure that this way I can pretend it's the shorts making my hips looking big, rather than admitting my hips ARE big!

And thanks so much! The lining was expensive, but totally worth it, I fell in love with it the minute I saw it!

OMG! I sooooo want a pair in pink! The pockets are amazing and would make my hips look wider while making my tummy look smaller.

Any chance you could make a tutorial or publish a pattern?

Please?

BTW, I clicked "This Rocks" cause it does!
