I'm having trouble with my modem/internet.  GRRrrr!!!  Like I can afford this.  *sigh*  Anyway, I'm public library dependent for internet access for I don't know how long.  Could be a couple of days.  Could be longer.  *bangs head on desk*  So, I won't be on as much -- just a few minutes here and there every day or two -- for a while.

Honestly, it's all I can do not to throw up and cry right now.  Really, one more crap thing piled on an already suffocating heap.  Oh yeah, I'm gonna cry.  *sigh*

I'll stay up on my swaps, I just won't be ubercommunicative.

Had an allergic reaction to my medication and was really sick for a few days...
Good thing about coming of my mood stabilizers was I have been very productive & am halfway through 3 of my items
YAY for manic moods!

Question: How good are customs usually with fragile items?
Has anyone ever had any issues with things breaking in the mail? bit worried about this!

I've found the best way to send something fragile is to pack it up tight as you can. I sent champagne glasses to a friend and stuffed them as full as I could with tissue paper, and then put more tissue paper around them, and bubble wrapped them.
Maybe a little extreme, but they arrived perfect.

Dyl's originally from New Zealand. 
He grew up in Morrinsville and moved to Auckland when he was a teenager.
I have no idea where the hell Morrinsville is, but he tells me about it. I know he was born in Hamilton.

Oh cool, my sis is in Hamilton (4 hours from here), and Auckland is just 2hours south of here and we go there heaps.. used to live there a few years back too.

You guys cannot start to understand how difficult it is to sit down on a regular chair with pieces of plastic strapped to you, let alone getting into the low, scoop seats of that beautiful contraption.

Lots of people give us weird looks when they meet us in a 'normal' environment and find out that we dress up in Star Wars costumes.
There's another side to the geekery, though. I mean, yes we enjoy it. I grew up wanting to be a stormtrooper. I settled for being a Jedi because Mum couldn't make me stormie armour.
The other side is the massive amount of charity work we do. We work a lot with kids hospitals, raising money for charity foundations, and all sorts of things like that.
We don't get anything out of it but a smile from the kids, and a thanks from the charities.
