I made these headbands when I got along. Just playing around one boring Sunday. I made them mostly to try out my idea and to see how many "lines" would be best. There is 3, 4, 5 and 6 lines. I think the no. 5 is the best but no. 6 is good for bigger heads than mine - and when it's really cold

The fresh green. Lima, 100% wool. My personal favorite. Have already been sold in the STS swap^^:

This one is made in a yarn called Cento, really beautiful. It was leftovers from a pair of mittens I made for my self last winter.

The pale green. Lima, 100% wool:

The pale purple. Lima, 100% wool:

Hope you like them!

These are so nice! I love the colours you used.  I am very impressed by people who can make things up without a pattern.

Lovely! They could also be worn around the neck. I might try this, it looks like a great present.

These aren't made up, they are adaptations of an already established pattern... I can't remember what its called though, I made one last winter and I love the pattern!

With all do respect, I did make them up Smiley

But I can certainly see someone got the idea before me!

These are lovely. Could one of you provide a pattern for those of us not as gifted. I especially like the ones with three and four ridges.

I did a bit a snooping around and I found the pattern I think faemystic is talking about. And as I now know that I didn't get the idea first I'll link to that pattern.

There is some few differences but it's nothing that will make much difference. Just cast on less masks for fewer rows Smiley

(the pattern exists in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, German and other languages)

yah, I was going to say, that regardless if a similar pattern exists you DID create these. That's like telling someone if they write a pattern for a top down, raglan sweater that they didn't write it because others already exist!
of course they do! there is no bounds to human creativity, and there is nothing new under the sun.
I love mine though, pseudo. my grandma has commented on how cute it was every time I wear it.
