Hey all!

There's lots of exciting stuff going on today in the swapping world (and beyond)!

First, we've updated the Swap Info!
http://www.craftster.org/swapsinfo.html

There are very few actual rule changes. Most of the changes had already been in use in the everyday swapping world, but not listed in the rules, so we've tidied that up quite a bit! Things should be more thorough and easier to understand (we hope!). There are a few important eligibility changes, however!

The new rules state that swappers must be at least 16 and that organizers must be at least 18.  This changes from the previous age limit of 13. Don't worry, if you're under 16 and you've swapped before, you can still swap! Just contact the Help Desk for more information.

We've also updated most of the stickies found at the top of the swap boards.

The Swap FAQ: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=229624.0
Information and Tips for Swappers: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=6553.0
Information and Tips for Organizers: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=47204.0

Hopefully you'll find them much more informative and user-friendly!

Also, we have lots of moving and shaking going on in Moderator Land! Four new additions to the squad and lots of other moving around. Lapoli and alteredmommy, of Shop the Swap fame, are our two awesome new swap mod additions! Plus, fantasticmio and Nymeria are joining as the Sewing in General mod and the Bath and Beauty mod respectively! MareMare and I will still help them out as co-mods, but MareMare will also be co-modding Jewelry and Trinkets! Jane Doe will be added as the Spinning moderator, and PinkMafia will be stepping down as a swap mod, but you can check her out moderating in the Costumes board!

It's been a busy day here in Craftster-land!  Grin

the new formatting for the rules look great! So much easier to find what you are looking for!
Besides the age rule for swapping/organizing what are the new rules if there are any? I can't tell to be honest and I've read them over about 3 times. Could be that the swaps I've been in do them already so they're so familiar I just read over them but I'm really curious now!

I have a question - do the new rules apply to swaps currently in signups that opened prior to the new rule announcement?  Not that I'm expecting to have any issues, but do I need to change the questionnaire for the new age limits?

Everything else is pretty much the same, but we have clarified some things that used to be "understood", such as the rule that two weeks after the sendout date, everyone in the swap who has not yet sent should receive negative feedback. (If there's someone who is in good communication and you're sure they're going to send, they still need that negative until their package arrives! Negatives are reversible.)

If you started a swap before the rules change, you don't have to change your questionaire, but you may want to go ahead and go in and change the age date so you're not accepting anyone under 16 at this time.

I love having a definite 2 week rule out there for late sending & feedback.  It make it so much easier on organizers.....or at least it is easier on me. Wink
