Dia de los Muertos Skirt

I've been in love with the 'Los Novios' fabric since I first laid eyes on it in the fabric store, but couldn't figure out what I wanted to make with it until I found this New Look pattern (#6813) I still have to make the knit top from the pattern, but I've totally already tried the skirt out in public :-)


(Being modeled by new homemade dressform...okay, so it's not the greatest, but it cost me less than $6 in materials)

The skirt is great, but what I really want to know is where did you get that belt?  I love it!

I got it off ebay. I was going to make a wide belt myself but I figured by the time I purchased the pleather, hardware for buckles, etc, it would've cost me more to make it... (the skirt totally cried out for a hot pink, wide belt!)

i too am obsessed with the sugar skulls...they are hypnotic...and so is your skirt....would totally wear it! Great Job!
