Dog Swap 2 Signups 09/21/09- 10/1/09 ; Mail by 11/3/09

Ok so I will be a tiny spoiler and show one thing I got in my oven as we speak. And I will also give you my tips too.


I used this recipe. I looked at several but I had everything to make this one. And it looked easy, easy is good.

I made a double batch. I had a jar of baby food bananas so I used that and I had an open can of pumpkin from last night so I used that for my 2nd half cup instead of the bananas.
Obviously I used the dog bone cookie cutter, I dropped the whole mixture on my cutting board and flattened it with my hands. MY TIP would be after you put it on your cutting board or whatever you are going to use, to put it in the freezer for a few minutes to harden it up. It started getting a little sticky after a few minutes. Also when you measure your honey give your tbsp a spritz of Pam too so it slides right off.

And just to prove they must have smelled good, he sat very patiently, drooling, Hoping for a crumb to hit the ground, not taking his eye off the stove for a split second. But he didn't get any b/c it had raw eggs, he'll have to wait.

Thanks for all the recipe tips, MacesMeMe! Your dog is just like Bear... He'll sit there watching the oven, drooling, just waiting for his reward!
And they'd have eaten the entire bag of those cookies if I let them !
 Now that I'm back from the trip, I'm ready to finish up my package!!!

I finished! I'm not sure I'm going to bake doggy treats like I originally planned.. I just don't have the time between Halloween and my other swap (I spent way more time on this one cause I liked it more  ). I'll probably ship tomorrow morning or during lunch. First time shipping early.. Woo!

On the thread sketching.. it's a little messed up, but I'm still proud of it (it's not bad considering it's my first try and it's on fleece), so I'm going to leave it as is.

Ok I have a question. Are we supposed to send on the 31st? because the 1st is a sunday. :X
Either way, I will probably be late because of halloween AND I'm getting a brand new fridge delivered also on halloween so this week I'm going to be cleaning the house and rearranging the kitchen (my old fridge is 19 cubic feet, the new one is 25 so I need to find a new spot for it since it's so huge!).

  I was going to send out already, but that trip to California this weekend slowed me down. Since I did promise a halloween costume, which is for Saturday... I MUST get it out Tuesday! I'm really happy with the things I have so far. But, I'm still going back and forth on whether I'll have to send a second package, to get some of it finished. I can't wait for everyone to see what I just finished! But, NO HINTS! Because it's one thing she doesn't know about!!!!

I've packaged the package. I forgot to wrap everything with this adorable paper and ribbon I found... but I was just too excited to send. I'm running to the Post Office today at lunch, so yay!

I'm now pretty much done. I just have to package and ship. Now I have to go looking for a box. I hope Frank likes it all. I know mine have been eyeing things in the package.
