I'm not sure whether this has been done before here, but I thought I would share my creation with you all.

My workmate has been talking about getting an iPhone for aaaaages. I have always joked that I would get her one, so instead I made her an iPhone cake! Its my first time ever making something like this, so the icing is all a bit wonky, but I am happy with that.

It took me ages and was a bit of a learning curve! I had to call my MIL a few times for advice too! Kudos to those who do this regularly! Trying to get the icing dark grey was HARD WORK!!

Its her birthday today, so we will be devouring it very soon. I used a 'roasting dish' chocolate cake recipe off a great website http://www.blokeswhobake.co.nz/gidday/ although I did have to modify it a little.

anyway, here is the beast that kept me occupied for the whole of yesterday!

I even put the charger socket as well as the headphones jack as well.

Thanx!

I'm always in awe of anyone who can make a cake look that good.  Well done.
