So I have been feeling decidedly lack lustre in the creative department lately. I just feel so uninspired. I also feel particularly talentless. I enjoy MOST crafts & artforms.. painting, drawing, scrapbooking, papercrafts (cards & such), sewing, polymer clay etc etc.. but I just don't seem to have a particular knack for any of them..
So I hijacked my moms sewing machine yesterday.. & came up with..

Snuff the Tragic Dragon!!

Brody thinks my sewing skills are dubious too!

But still worthy of a hug..

Atleast the dog appreciates my dodgy dragon!

Hmm seems sewing isn't my forte either...back to the drawing board!

He is so sweet:D
I love making sock monsters when im feeling a little uninspired. I started with my friends copy of Stupid Sock Creatures and have gone from there. So long as they hold together, it doesn't matter what they look like, and I usually have a few requests from friends for them:)
Get it together!

I like it! He does seem a little tragic, but that is what makes him so cute.

I actually think he's great.  Like the bold colors and his face.

Awww... that's such a cute picture of Brody hugging the dragon! Every creature deserves a hug!

I think he is lovely and not bad if first time with a machine and your own design.

don't give up.

practice makes perfect.

I'm like you I love crafting, but some of it I'm a disaster with.  for example, drawing and painting - not an artisit bone on my body.  clothes for kids = great and good.  for myself = useless diasters ranging from bad colour combinations to tents or too small.  many a yard wasted in atempt to increase my wardrobe.  these attempts then turned into little person clothes and come our great!  Knitting = diaster.  Crochet, not much better, but at least it looks like something.  the only thing I ever managed with some skill is cross stitch, but bored with that now as I have a house full of it.  never fear, just keep at it, you'll find your path.
