hi. man its been forever since i posted something new!!! i know your all sick to death of tee shirt recons, but i added one more. this is how to make a tee shirt into a dress.
youll need:
a shirt 2 sizes too big
a shirt with a BIG PATTERN is better then one with just a graphic in the middle
your cat to help you
scissors
needle/thread/pins
youll see the "tee recon"book in the background...this project is NOT in that book. i made this tut myself
i bought this awesome skull shirt at the thrift store. about 2 bucks. its about 2 sizes too big.
i cut the sleeves off WITH THE HEMs ATTACHED TO THEM.
theirs my sleeves cut all the way open.
then i cut the neck part off.
i cut up the side seam to make the shirt more rectangle.
turn inside out and stitch back together.
i use the sleeves as the top bust of the dress....this makes the dress longer as well.
pin the sleeves to the dress and sew on...the best way to do this is to sew the sleeves together to make a tube...pin the tube to the back middle of the dress. and make it pucker in the front.
this is what it looks like when the sleeves are now sen on and are the bust of the dress.
decorate the front however you want
