So I'm going to a 60's themed dance party and i decided to make me own dress...the only problem was i can't figure out how to use patterns to save my life. so this was all done without a pattern which caused a little problem in the midriff area. but i'm really proud of it:) its the first thing i've made that actually came out (more-or-less) according to plan.i hope yall like it!

You can probably tell that the white band across the middle isn't totally even all the way across, so i think im just going to throw a wide belt over it to cover it up. other than that i have no idea what to do for accessories....jewelry has always been a weak point for me lol. any ideas on what kind of jewelry/shoes i can use with this? gogo boots maybe? tights?
comments and criticism is always welcome!

Oh, so twiggy. Love it. We wore a lot of large pendants and macrame jewelry back then and I still have my virgo pendant. Go Go boots definitely if you can find them. A mood ring. and a big floppy hat.

Very cute. I'd wear this outside of a party! I'd pair it with some white tights and some funky boots. Great job, I can't believe you didn't use a pattern! It turned out really well.

Tall white boots would look awesome with that dress! And for a 60's look, I agree with big, chunky jewelry. I really like the cut of your dress.

Big white plastic earrings!

You did a nice job on this dress.  I love the color.

Oh awesome, I hope you're gonna wear it again after the party.

Throw a big pendant on!
