Lately Ive been having swelling problems and this was just practice. although i must say they don't look awful on the shoes without the fat girl in them.... on me.. they look funny but I'm water logged or something and its been kinda painful.

Anyhoooo.. faux buttons, slip on( with no elastic as of right now.. these might have some ruching in their future also.and the shape is off too. turquoise lace peeking out.. that is pretty rad imho. and of course.. hounds tooth knit.. and i tried stuffing the shoes to make them stand up the best i could.

I call it good for practice? What do you think?

Those are so cute! I love the turquoise ruffle on them.

I finished a waist cincher thingy earlier and thought about trying them out as spats before I laced the pieces together. I figured I would just try them later though. I love these!

This is great, because I got some boots for my sister I wanted to pimp out, and it would be so much easier to make these cozies. Awesome idea. Anything turquoise is rad in my opinion as well. But I love houndstooth and haven't seen a lot of that lately.

I'm going to be a horrible buttinski and ask if you've seen your doctor about the swelling - you don't want it to be because of some dangerous metabolic condition - heart or kidney problem!  Best to have it checked out if you haven't already.

Honestly i think its cause i started drinking soda again andi sat too long in a chair and have been driving for hours on end. All those combined usually means swelling in my lower legs/ankles/feet.. and its THAT time now so ill wait it out. i just sit here sometimes and i swear it feels like my foot skin will rip LMAO.. thank you for your concern. if things get out of hand ill definitely see a doctor.

Super cute, i love ways to revamp shoes without stitching anything to them. Love the b&w&turquoise, it's always a fun combination. Did you make your own pattern or just wing it?

i downloaded a free pattern from thankyoufornotbeingperky.com but i didnt use hers. i studied the shape and went from there.. but that did give me some sort of a starting point.
