i've been wanting to try this since i saw this post by Marisa- http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=315001.0
i followed the tute on her post and turned some crappy old mini blinds into a unique fabric shade. it was relatively easy, but mine came out a bit wonky, as do most of my projects (i rode the short bus to school), but i like it.  i used some ikea fabric that i got from the awesome Missmuffcake in an OWS swap. i'm thinking about adding some colorful trim at the top or bottom, but my kitchen is pretty colorful so i dont know if its really needed or not.

Excellent!! Great re-use!

That's one of my favorite fabrics, too.

Very cool! I've been meaning to try this too; doesn't look wonky to me!
