I kind of like how it turned out. I plan to make another with some heavier fabric...and to make the top pieces a little longer. Then hopefully it won't do that funky thing in the middle.






Any other suggestions as to why it did that?

I was thinking...the fabric on the bottom is a stretch jersey and on top is a sheer...non stretch type. Maybe I should have been stretching the jersey fabric?

hmmm..the possibilities and I have no clue. ah well.

if you mixed a knit with a non stretch, that's probably this issue with the front center. Maybe an applique or something if you don't like it? I'm going to be banging out a dress very much like this, with an overlap top and kimono sleeves... Super cute though, even with small issue.
