I spent this past week trying to figure out working in rounds. I think I have it, but need more practice.

Here are a couple of snowmen ornaments that I might give out as holiday presents to coworkers or my kids' teachers. I think I may ditch the pipe cleaners in favor of a felt hat. I found this pattern at http://donnascrochetdesignstheblog.blogspot.com/2008/12/snowman-faces-ornaments-free-crochet.html

Here's my first attempt at a round ornament. Pattern http://www.allcrafts.net/f.php?url=web.archive.org/web/20030204180738/http://members.aol.com/SAG55/xball2.html

I think they are adorable! I like that they look a bit whimsical.  As for the pipe cleaners, I like the blue one because it kind of looks like snows falling but I agree I'm not sure I like the star one. Great job Smiley

Very cute!  Thanks for the link.  I like them all, I really like the star actually.  A little hat and scarf would be cute too.

Cute! Nicely done. I agree with Cowtiki, the blue looks like it has snow falling around it =) I think it'd be super cute if you added a felt hat though. How long did it take to make them?

I take my bag o' crochet with me to my son's karate class which is about 45 minutes long. I can do about 6-8 of the white faces or 4-5 of the larger backs depending on how much talking I'm doing. LOL!

All told, I would say 15-20 minutes for one set of face and backing if I was working without interruptions.
