So after stumbling on this thread one day while straying from my usual haunts (sewing, knitting, etc.) I became entranced and basically fell in love with everyone's altered book journals.  I've been lurking for a while and decided that I just was going to have to start one myself.  This isn't a finished project, but I'm so excited that I wanted to start my post now and update it as I go to keep me motivated.

The book I'm using.  I bought it at a library sale last year because I love old maps.  Once I decided I was going to make an Altered Journal, I knew this was going to be the book.

A random sampling of one of the maps.

One of the full color plates in the book.  Not sure what's going to happen here...it's all a work in progress....

Some "book-ish" full text pages.

And what I've done so far.  I mod podged some torn up pages from a little french book that I found at Goodwill for 2 bucks.

All C&C greatly appreciated!  Smiley
