I have been working on a dress for a costume party I'm having for my 18th. The original idea was to go as a vampire bride, but I think this outfit makes me look like a witch.  Tongue All I need is a broomstick. haha I wonder if I can hire one from a costume shop. Anyway, onto photos!

My friends and I had a photoshoot in the botanic gardens. It was gorgeous day.

This shows how the corset sits the best. My facial expression is a bit dodgy  Cheesy so ignore that.

And this shows off the sleeves.

The back.

And this shows the richness of the black.

I really had fun making this. That's my second corset ever, I'm really pleased with it. The fabric for the blouse and skirt is a shimmery satin, my first time working with anything slippery. It wasn't too bad, though. Afterwards, when taking off the corset I had lines imprinted all down my torso from the boning, it looked hilarious.  Tongue I couldn't believe how much boning I needed for the corset. I used between 5 and 7 metres and had to make two extra trips to the shop to get more.

It is women who love horror. Gloat over it. Feed on it.
Are nourished by it. Shudder and cling and cry out...
And come back for More.

Lovely!  Lots of gals would be happy to wear that as their "normal" daytime outfit!   Cheesy

Wow, that whole outfit is beautiful!  The corset looks amazing, I can't believe it's only the second one you've made.  Most corsets seem to have wrinkles in them when they're on, and yours looks really smooth.

Thanks! The corset is so smooth because the front is almost completley boned. There are five lengths of boning a centimetre apart on each side.

gurl  Wink You REPRESENT! Wink

Too gorgeous to be ONLY for Halloween! Would also look great as "rockstar wear" with the corset and black jeans and high boots, and your hair in a updo! Roll Eyes

I love this. It takes me back to the Vampire club I used to go to in Hollywood back in the day.
