I have a friend that wants a front pack style dog carrier to take on motorcycle rides.  We saw a lady with one over the weekend while on a ride, and it looked like a cross between a baby carrier and a backpack worn on the front.  I have searched and searched for a pattern or tute that could work, but all I find is purse style.  I have made baby carriers before, so I know the basics of the strap attachment, etc.  So, my idea is to combine a backpack(front pack)/baby carrier with a purse.  I will attach a clip inside to hook the dog's collar to, and add mesh for ventilation.  I'm not sure how to do the top.  Should I just leave it open like a tote bag, or put a closure on it?  Any ideas about how to work this out?
