A pencil scarf for Lana.........A sharp pencil = A sharp mind!

Hehe, I know that winter is a while away, but this scarf was inspired by my daughter Lana going to Kindergarten.  *happy dance*  I wanted something fun to mark the event so I decided to put my own spin on the pencil scarf.  This was knit in the round using dpns. 

Those of you who know me know that I have very limited knitting skills so this project was perfect for me. Some advantages to doing it in the round are that is structured and extra warm and quick to knit up.  I've been having a blast making them for friends and family.   I ended up making 3 sizes for a custom fit.

You're scarves and daughter are adorable! I love the little ridges on the metal part of the pencil. Nice detail! I agree with sparrowowl about Christmas gifts, if you feel like sharing a pattern.

DizzerSpinninRound, it took me about 8 hours to make one.  LOL.  I'm probably the world's slowest knitter.
