I was lucky enough to win a pattern a while back from the talented Vegbee (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5098546) and it was fabulous! I will definitely be making it again. I was able to find both the shell and lining vintage fabrics at yard sales for less than two bucks, after scouring fabric stores for the 'right' fabric. I used buttons from my grandmother's sewing basket to finish it off. (that is particularly fun because the coat is for my daughter, who is named after my grandma)

That's great!  I'd wear it in a 'big girl" size!!!

Its beautiful! I lover your fabric choices. And I agree, I'd wear this in a big girl size.

Isn't that a great pattern?  Very nice job, and that lining fabric is stunning!

I used to be strictly a yarn girl but now I'm teaching myself to sew.  Help! Smiley

If I had fabric enough left, I would make a 'big girl size.' But sadly, I used most of that up. I do, however, have a couple yards left of the lining. Anyone have ideas of what I could make out of it?

Love it!

I'd use the extra fabric (depending on the weight) for matching skirts. Smiley

I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference.

Ooooo!  Fabulous!  You did a wonderful job, and how fun! when the pretty-as-can-be pink coat swings open to reveal such a fun lining!  Inspired!
