I received an amazing "learn to crochet" kit from goodtimegirl and I can't wait to play with it!!!! I would start right now but I'm trying to be productive on a swap package where time may be an issue (a trip out of town next week certainly doesn't help!). I think I'm going to try tinkering around with it in between paint drying  Grin Thank you so much goodtimegirl! And I love how the hooks are all rainbow colored! So pretty  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Ack! The paint won't dry! But in better news I have sort of mastered the chain stitch, and I think...(??) I have mastered single crochet. I thought I was doing the slip stitch but I don't think so. I'm going to have to take my hook to work with me where I can cross reference with my boss (she's offered to teach me to crochet so yay!).

I received a great package from sheepBlue quite a while ago. Here's what she sent me:

scrapbooking goodies, a whole bunch of beads and freezer paper.

Look at all those beads!

My bag from claire313 arrived yesterday! Sorry for the crappy photos, I took 'em quick before I left for work today so I could post them while at work. (I work until 8pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays.)

She made me a super cute knit/corduroy bag inspired by the one on my wist. Cheesy

The lining is really pretty too:

And this must be the week for gummy bears because Claire included a package of them as well. Of course, in typical Florida fashion, they got a little melty from the heat. But it makes a cool, artsy - and still yummy - bit of Gummy Bear Stained Glass Art! Grin

Thank you claire313!

ARGH! I'm upset! My gauge was spot on for these fingerless mitts because I had to change the size of the yarn. Yet, even though I am sure these gloves are made for adults, they fit a ten-years-old boy very well.

So, I was ahead and within a minute I'm now going to be late!

I even blocked!

Ugh.

Frosty772? do you have abnormally small hands like the dudes in the BK commercials? lol
