Every year I participate in a French & Indian War Era (mid 1700's) reinactment. I made this white moosehide pouch several years ago, and decided this year to dress it up with some applique. It's about the right size to hold a passport. It carries my license, debit card and some cash quite easily. The fabrics shown are my bodice and petticoats, which was where I got the color inspiration.

This is fabulous! I love that you designed the applique to match the fabric. It is a perfect match!
Reinactments are so great...living here in Md near Gettysburg, we see much of that in the month of July, around the 4th of course.

I took the little girl I babysit to the event, and since it was her 6th birthday, I made her a costume. She kept trying to steal the pouch I beaded for myself, so I decided she needed her own. She loved it; gave me a hug, and told me "thank you" about a dozen times.
