I'm just trying to find out if there's any interest in an international version of the 44 cent swap.

It wouldn't technically be 44cents anymore but postage will still be cheap. We'll agree on the size of an envelope that is available in many countries (as sizes may differ)

So is anyone up for this. It could be a cute, low-stress, fast swap.

so we in the US could participate & would have international partners?
I'd be up for this!
I'm thinking we'd need the heavier manila type envies (maybe 5x8 or so?)

Yay, for reactions.  I might run this nex to the get to know your partner swap. So signups will start around the 15th of october (which is 5 days after the current US 44cents swap)

So would it be like the 44-cent swap then? Like... whatever a regular letter sized stamp costs in your country & currency? If so, I'd probably be in! I'm in Canada so couldn't join that one, but it looks so tempting and something that really pushes your creativity Cheesy

Yes phsyce, you could join, because the idea is the envelope, like if you were my partner it would cost me .75 cent us or something like that and if you sent a letter to europe, it might cost 1.50 canadian, these are guesses, but I think the idea is to do what you can fit in an envelope.

Lovesclutter is right. It would just be the amount of money it takes to send a small envelope. It still won't be a lot of money though Tongue

Yes, and they could use their normal letter size that is generally used in their country. We have business #10 and others, card sized.

I wanted to edit this to add that the 44 cent swap doesn't require a dc number but the swapper must resend if it doesn't arrive. Do you plan on having something like that? I know that if I send a letter to canada I get a receipt, and would that suffice?
