I was watching Gossip Girl reruns the other night, and fell in love with not one but three of  Blair's headbands. Alas, a Google search informs me that Blair's headbands are made by various high-end designers, and retail for an average price of $200. $200 for a few bits of satin ribbon? I figured I can do better than that, and set to work with what I could find in my closet. My inspiration:

A few hours later, some old plastic headbands, a ribbon sash, a shoelace I found on the street and a pearl necklace from a Christmas cracker became these:

Mine are a little more subdued than Blair's, as my boss would probably not understand if I showed up at work with a giant Minnie Mouse bow on my head, but the inspiration is all Blair.  I used this tutorial to make the rosettes for the double rose headband, and a bit of elastic to secure the pearl necklace, bu the rest was pretty much just ribbon and stitches, as easy as can be! And best of all, they didn't cost me $200 each.

$200 for a headband is a little ott Smiley and i actually like yours a lot more, the head to bow ratios seem to be a little more practical!

I love the black bow one! I love bow-y headbands like that, but sadly can't wear them to school because they are too "intricate".
The headbands all look really nice on you! Smiley

Personally my style is a bit more tom boy, but I always fall for what ever Blair has on in a episode. (How excited are you for the premeire tomorrow? ) You did a great mimicking job of those headbands.  I think the original big black one works cause it lays flay to her head. If you won't try out a larger bow I will -  Tongue haha   They look awesome!
